The personalized training in pool and practice at sea that we offer you at the Xaloc Diving Center is combined with the teaching of theory and in this way we ensure that you have the experience and knowledge to dive safely. .

The SSI Open Water Diver course consists of three parts:

  • A theory

You should read the topics related to diving theory and the practices you will be doing, complete the knowledge reviews and take the theory exam.

The system used is online, i.e. digital SSI system - to start immediately. You study at your own pace, thanks to an interactive and easy-to-use program. You will also have access to the online version of the Open Water Diver manual.

  • Swimming pool practices

You will do 3 dives in the swimming pool, which will cover the compulsory exercise modules.

During these practices in the pool, you will do a series of exercises, both on the surface and underwater, using complete diving equipment, learning, in addition, to correctly assemble and disassemble all the equipment, continuously supervised by one of our SSI certified. instructors.

  • Sea diving

In the Open Water "Basic" course, you will do the 4 compulsory open water dives to be able to certify as a diver.

In each of these training dives you will do the necessary drills so that at the end, if your progress has been correct, you will obtain your world famous SSI Open Water diver certification.
